Social Capital Partnerships
SFE is committed to connecting people across racial, social, and class divides as a way to re-distribute social capital.
Social capital partnerships are formed between someone who is currently incarcerated or recently released from jail/prison with someone who identifies are being committed to healing the effects of mass incarceration and is interested in re-distributing their social capital which may include the following:

Create a supportive partnership with an incarcerated individual and nurture that through phone calls, e-mails, letters and/or visits

Understand the challenges one faces while incarcerated and advocate on their behalf to correctional facilities or other relevant agencies

For those who are parole eligible, work to support parole releases by writing letters of support

For those who are released from jail/prison support them in connecting with people, housing opportunities, or jobs within your network
